Anti-plagiarism policy
The Municipal Law Yearbook (hereinafter, Journal) requires that all persons involved in the editing process, whether they are staff of the Journal or the authors themselves, follow the ethical guidelines of the Journal. All these persons have the following responsibilities:
Authors: At the time of submitting an article on the Journal's platform, the authors must declare that the submitted text is original and that it does not violate intellectual property rights. They will also expressly declare that they are aware and accept the rules and the ethical guidelines of the Journal. The simultaneous submission of the work to another publication must also be communicated by its authors to the executive board of the Journal.
Editorial team: It will select the articles according to criteria of originality, novelty, relevance and academic precision. In the event that a violation of the anti-plagiarism policy is detected before the evaluation, the study will be returned to the author, warning that it cannot be reviewed. If the identification occurs throughout the editorial process, the work will be automatically withdrawn and its publication will not proceed. Once the files are published, the detection of plagiarism will imply their removal from the website.
The anti-plagiarism control by the Editorial team will be carried out once the original work has been received for its integration into the studies section of the Journal with the use of the compilatio software. Access to the anti-plagiarism control platform by the by the editorial team is guaranteed by the rights to the software held by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Evaluators: They must refuse the assignment to evaluate a work if they do not consider themselves as qualified in the subject area or if they cannot take the evaluation within the term established by the Journal. On the other hand, they must notify the editorial team of possible fraud or plagiarism that they detect in the evaluated research. Likewise, they must review the articles objectively and within the established time. They will motivate the reasons to reject a submission or to provide suggestions to improve the submitted text.
