Abstract

This article analyses the processes of non-violent resistance that the Palestinian population has developed in order to confront the colonial dynamics implanted in the region following the fall of the Ottoman Sultanate. It examines the actors involved, and their strategies of resistance throughout the twentieth century. In pays particular attention to comparing two moments where this resistance has had the greatest intensity: the Great Arab Uprising (1936-1939) and the Intifada (1987-1990).
